Three days of fun for free? That’s right! Croydon Poddy Dodgers Festival is one of the most action-packed festivals of the outback, celebrating the town and people of Croydon. Watch a number of events including the greasy pig chase, wild cow milking and mutton busting rides for kids. There’s plenty of fun for the whole family and don’t forget, it’s free!
3. LAURA DANCE FESTIVAL 19-21 June 2015
June marks one of the largest Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander events in the country. Laura Dance Festival brings together all Australians to celebrate one of the world’s oldest living cultures. Song, language and dance will be used to highlight the diversity in our country’s culture. Join in the fun this month!
4. AUSTRALIA CLASSIC 20-21 June 2015
Held on some of Australia’s best roads, the Australian Classic rally drive takes place in beautiful Cairns. With 16 driving challenges to complete, drivers and their passengers will have to navigate their classic resto’s through 600km of track on Cairns’ roads. Meals are included for all drivers. If you’re not planning on competing, be sure to cheer on drivers as they make their way around town.
5. CAIRNS TO KARUMBA 27 June – 3 July 2015
On your marks. Get set. Ride! Cairns to Karumba is a unique ride which features both mountain biking and road cycling. Supporters and spectators can follow riders from Cairns as they complete the scenic route to Karumba.
